Microblog #40, "Coming of Age in Samoa, Chapter 14"

Summary
In this chapter, Dr. Mead rails against the evils of parents teaching their morals to their children, using the perceived laidbackness of Samoa as her lever.

Discussion
This book would be considerably improved without this soapbox chapter tacked onto the end. Permission to choose may require permission to choose wrongly, and all the pain that can entail, but how much better that than to have no choice at all!
